Suspend Polyzone
Suspend Polyzone
Product Description
Suspend Polyzone, manufactured by Bayer, is a deltamethrin suspended concentrate that fights against various pests like mosquitoes in residential, commercial, and industrial areas.
This easy-to-use product carries the same active ingredients as its popular Suspend SC formulation but expands upon it with a polymer infusion, which delivers proven residual control for up to 90 days outdoors. This special polymer layer protects the active ingredient from weather, irrigation, and mechanical abrasion, making it more effective and longer-lasting.
Suspend Polyzone also allows the active ingredients to partially embed themselves on even the most porous of materials, like wood, and high-alkaline surfaces, like cement. Use this effective product to protect against over 40 problem pests (ants, ticks, bed bugs, spiders, carpenter ants, and more) both indoors and outdoors.
Tools Needed
To use Suspend Polyzone, you will need to dilute the product in a handpump sprayer, backpack sprayer, or pesticide spraying rig.
How to Use
- Step 1: Determine how much Suspend Polyzone you will need by measuring the square footage of the treatment area. To do this, you will need to measure the length and width of the treatment area in feet and then multiply them together (length x width = square footage). Suspend Polyzone can be used at a 0.01% (0.25 fl. oz.), 0.03% (0.75 fl. oz.), or 0.06% (1.50 fl. oz.) dilution ratio per gallon of water to cover 1,000 sq. ft. Use the higher rate for severe infestations. For example, if you wish to use the 0.06% rate and measure 2,500 sq. ft. of area, you will need to mix 3.75 fl. oz. of suspended polyzone in 2.5 gallons of water.
- Step 2: Fill approximately half of the spray container with water, then apply the appropriate amount of Suspend Polyzone based on your container size and calculations. Shake your container well, then open it once more to fill the rest of the container with water. Close your container tightly and give it one last shake to ensure even distribution.
- Step 3: For general pest control applications, apply a perimeter barrier application of Suspend Polyzone outdoors on all door frames, window frames, and areas where utilities (cables, pipes, wires) enter into the structure. Spray a band of soil 6 to 10 feet adjacent to the structure and also up the foundation at a height of 2 to 3 feet where pests may be active or may find an entrance. Indoors, you can use it as a crack and crevice spot treatment for pests that may be hiding.
Where to Use
Suspend Polyzone can be applied to soil, turf, and ground covers adjacent to structures.
You can also use Suspend Polyzone to treat the foundation of your home, walls, around doors, windows, and soffit areas. This is useful because many insects hide in these areas.
Indoors, you can spray Suspend Polyzone along baseboards, around cabinets, and corners. It can also be used to spray mattresses and box springs to treat for bed bugs.
When to Use
Apply Suspend Polyzone when you have a pest problem, either indoors or outdoors. Pest activity peaks from Spring through Fall.
Suspend Polyzone is also a great option to use when winter pests find their way indoors. When spraying outdoors, apply Suspend Polyzone on calm days when wind speeds are low to minimize drift.
Safety Information
Suspend Polyzone is safe to use when applied according to label directions. As a precaution, individuals like pets and children should remain indoors during treatment. All windows should be closed, and doors leading outside should be shut. Also, ventilation systems that receive outside air should be shut off.
Wait until the material has dried before entering the treated area. If it’s necessary to enter before the material dries, wear gloves and clothes to protect the skin from direct contact with the leftover residues and wash the skin and clothing if contact takes place.
Special Considerations
Since Suspend Polyzone is a suspended concentrate, regular agitation may be needed to prevent potential clogging during application. If spraying is interrupted when using a backpack or hand-held sprayer, you may need to agitate the sprayer to re-suspend the product.
